About PharmaForce

PharmaForce is a leading provider of innovative pharmacy solutions, specializing in 340B Third Party Administration (TPA) and Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) services. We leverage cutting-edge technology and industry expertise to help healthcare providers, payers, and patients navigate the complex landscape of pharmacy management. Our mission is to enhance patient care and access to medications by optimizing pharmacy programs across the spectrum. At PharmaForce, we foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, continuously striving to develop solutions that make healthcare more accessible and affordable for all.

Position Overview

PharmaForce is building its platform engineering function from the ground up. Today, our technology operations are largely manual — no CI/CD pipelines, no infrastructure-as-code, and no formalized DevOps practice. This role will change that.

You will be the first Platform Engineering Architect at PharmaForce, reporting directly to the CTO. You will design and build the foundational platform infrastructure the engineering organization depends on, and you will grow a team around you to sustain and scale it.

This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role. The right candidate thrives in greenfield environments, brings strong technical depth across CI/CD, Azure, and IaC, and is energized by the challenge of building something lasting.

What You Will Own

CI/CD Platform

  • Design, build, and operate an enterprise-grade CI/CD infrastructure from scratch.

  • Migrate all PharmaForce products to the new pipeline framework.

  • Establish standards for build, test, deployment, and release management across all engineering teams.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  • Codify PharmaForce's Azure infrastructure using Terraform and/or Bicep.

  • Drive the full migration from manual provisioning to IaC-managed environments.

  • Establish governance, state management, and drift-detection practices.

Agentic AI Engineering Infrastructure

  • Define and build the platform layer that enables AI-driven, agentic engineering workflows.

  • Partner with the AI program team to identify platform requirements for autonomous tooling, agent orchestration, and LLM-integrated pipelines.

  • Evaluate and implement emerging tooling in the agentic AI space as the practice matures.

Platform Team Leadership

  • Define the Platform/DevOps/Infrastructure function: scope, roles, operating model.

  • Hire, onboard, and grow the team that will manage this environment long-term.

  • Set engineering standards, runbooks, and on-call practices for platform operations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of hands-on platform, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering experience.

  • Deep Azure expertise: networking, compute, storage, IAM, and managed services.

  • Production experience with CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent).

  • Proficiency in IaC — Terraform and/or Bicep — at enterprise scale.

  • Demonstrated ability to migrate existing workloads to IaC-managed infrastructure.

  • Experience building or maturing a DevOps or platform engineering practice.

  • Ability to operate autonomously in greenfield environments with limited process.

  • Strong communication skills — comfortable influencing engineering teams and presenting to technical leadership.

Nice To Have:

  • Experience designing infrastructure for AI/ML workloads or agentic systems.

  • Familiarity with LLM integration patterns, agent orchestration frameworks, or MLOps tooling.

  • Prior experience hiring and building a platform or SRE team.

  • Background in healthcare technology, regulated SaaS, or compliance-sensitive environments (SOC 2, HIPAA).

  • Experience working in a private-equity-backed or high-growth technology organization.

  • Kubernetes or container orchestration experience.

Who Will Thrive Here

This role is best suited for a senior individual contributor who is ready to step into an ownership role and build something from the ground up. You should be energized by ambiguity, comfortable making architectural decisions with limited precedent, and motivated by the opportunity to shape an engineering organization during a critical inflection point.

You will work closely with the CTO, collaborate with onshore and offshore engineering teams, and have direct influence over how PharmaForce builds and ships software for years to come.

Why Join Us

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth startup at a pivotal stage and work directly with company leadership on some of the business’s most important strategic priorities. You will have broad exposure across the organization, significant ownership, and the ability to make a meaningful impact on the future of the company.
