Position Overview
The Director of Marketing will lead the organization’s strategic marketing efforts to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer engagement. This role is responsible for executing multi-channel campaigns, overseeing content and brand strategy, and optimizing marketing performance through analytics. The Director of Marketing will collaborate closely with leadership, sales, and product teams to ensure marketing initiatives are aligned with business objectives and market demands.
This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on expertise in digital marketing, content creation, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will bring experience in B2B or healthcare marketing and a passion for storytelling and brand growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with business goals.
- Define KPIs and track campaign ROI to inform data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure marketing efforts are synchronized with sales and product strategies.
- Provide direction and weekly goals to a remote marketing team.
Content & Messaging
- Oversee the creation of compelling content for blogs, whitepapers, email campaigns, case studies, and social media.
- Own and evolve the brand’s voice and messaging, particularly tailored to healthcare and industry audiences.
- Work with subject matter experts to create thought leadership pieces and relevant educational content.
- Ensure website content and messaging are regularly updated and optimized.
Demand Generation
- Plan and execute lead generation campaigns using tools like HubSpot.
- Build and manage email nurture workflows to support the customer acquisition funnel.
- Optimize targeting and segmentation strategies to increase inbound marketing performance.
Sales Enablement
- Develop sales collateral including pitch decks, product one-pagers, and brochures.
- Partner with the sales team to align messaging and support outbound initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation and review of proposals and RFPs.
Events & Webinars
- Plan and coordinate virtual and in-person events, webinars, and conference participation.
- Manage event logistics, including booth setup, promotional materials, and lead capture processes.
- Oversee pre- and post-event marketing follow-up strategies.
Product Marketing
- Partner with product and customer success teams to launch new products or features.
- Conduct market research to assess positioning and competitive differentiation.
- Translate technical offerings into customer-centric benefits and messaging.
Marketing Technology & Analytics
- Manage marketing automation and CRM platforms such as HubSpot and Salesforce.
- Track and report on performance metrics (e.g., traffic, leads, conversion rates).
- Monitor website performance and optimize user journeys and conversion paths.
Budget & Vendor Management
- Oversee the marketing budget, vendor contracts, and timelines.
- Coordinate with designers, agencies, and contractors to ensure project quality and deadlines are met.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of marketing experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and marketing budgets.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools and CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in healthcare or B2B industries.
Preferred:
- MBA or advanced degree in marketing or business.
- Experience working in startup or fast-growth environments.
- Graphic design or basic web design familiarity.
- Event planning experience.
